A common problem cited by companies interested in designing, developing or commercialising a new product for the healthcare market, is that they do not know how to go about finding relevant experts within NHS Scotland and/or other potential collaborators associated with the healthcare industry.

More detailed information about data, search capabilities and strategies are available on the help page.
This directory has been developed on behalf of the life sciences community in Scotland as represented by their industry leadership group with the support of Scottish Enterprise, NHS Research Scotland and Chief Scientist Office.
On opening the Scottish Health Research & Innovation Ecosystem directory, you are encouraged to select one of the top-level ‘Visual Search’ categories depending on whether you wish to search according to Development Stage; Technology; or Therapeutic Area. The default search area displayed is Development Stage, below which is shown the 4 general stages of the commercialisation process (Idea/Invent; Develop; Test; Sell), together with colour-coded hexagons each with numbers indicating how many assets are held in each category. Clicking on one of the hexagons will lead you to view your results relating to that particular category.
Alternatively click on Technology or Therapeutic Area to allow searches to be conducted using these categories. By clicking, further choices will appear that will help to narrow the search to specific areas of interest.
Results can be viewed in more detail by clicking individual hits – summary information will then be displayed together with relevant contact details.
At any point, click the ‘Reset Search’ button to return to the original page and to start a new search.
